I am in the business of helping clients to hear what their customers are saying, and do something positive and effective about it.

When it will deliver a useful result, I deploy traditional market and social research methods, such as surveys, panels, and focus groups. I also assist people with other public consultation and engagement activities.

But these are not always the right solutions for an organisation. In fact, in all these areas, I’m increasingly seeing examples of misuse.

Consequently, I help clients to consider and use other types of data as feedback, to better illuminate their inquiries and drive improvement efforts.

It can take even more to continually hear your customers and change for the better. Those who are serious about creating a truly customer-centred workplace, one in which improvement is part of the day job, frequently need support to nurture new ways of thinking and help embed the changes.
